    DVD stuck in drive
Right I got a new television last Saturday. It's a 22" DAEWOOD TV with combined dvd player. She's beautiful. But thing is.. today I put in the dvd for the first time and accidentally put it in the reverse way. Please let me know is there a way I can dislodge the dvd without breaking the TV?
And yes I have pressed eject a million times and it says 'no disk'

All information would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try the straightened paper clip in the small hole in the tray?

No you see it's the type of dvd drive where you just insert the dvd... no dvd tray comes out 4 you 2 place the dvd in. Otherwise I would be really REALLY stupid for putting it in the wrong way. In this case I'm just really stupid..

Some stand-alone disc players have an emergency retrieval method, which should be detailed in the owner's manual. It usually involves a lever or slot at the bottom of the set. I don't know if your combination unit has this, but look through the manual ("Troubleshooting"?), and look under the set (assuming the disc tray is at the bottom of the combo) for levers or slots.

If that draws a blank, switch the set off and unplug it from the wall outlet. Now see if you can slip a knife blade in under or over the disc tray cover, and very gently lever it out. With power off you should be able to pull the tray out (there will be some resistance due to the gearing, but it should come out).
