    Trying to download Acrobat Reader add get the error above? Any help?

    Are you simply trying to download it and run the install package? For some reason, the installer is looking for a drive "E:". Double-click on "My Computer" and see if you have a drive E:. I suspect you don't.

    You can download Adobe Reader version 8 from here:

    Adobe Acrobat Reader 8

    This is a full installer, and not a downloader like you get from Adobe. Put it somewhere convenient on your hard drive and double-click on it. It should install and it should get around your error. Unfortunately, I couldn't find version 9, the latest. (Maybe someone else knows where to pick it up from). In any case, once version 8 is installed, you can go to HELP | CHECK FOR UPDATES and it will probably download and install the latest version correctly.

    My last post about this did not require you to purchase anything, I don't know what makes you think that as it addresses the exact message you are asking about.
