    Laminate Floor Over Unheated Garage
I have a finished room over an unheated garage and wonder if laminate flooring can be installed on the room floor - I'm worried about moisture (I live in the Northeast) during cold winter months buckling the floor - or is the new engineered wood/laminate OK? Thanks

Not for me in this application. Its highly susceptible to movement because it's a floating floor and expands and contracts too much. A prefinished 3/4 hard wood is the best floor to use here. BUT do you know If there is a vapor barrier under the sub floor? Looking from the garage up the vapor barrier HAS to be Up inside the floor joist bay against the sub floor, not at the bottom of the floor rafters garage bay side/ If not insul vapor barriers is back wards.
