I have an Advent laptop which s developed a somewhat strange habbit of missing letters from words. At first I thought this was simply a little dirt under the affected keys, but after a good clean the fault remains. And is not always the same key which is even more strange??

If anyone has an idea what this could be let us know, otherwise I think it's a case of smas and claim on the house ins...

Have you tried taking the keyboard apart and cleaning it? Or, maybe, taking it to a computer repair store so they can do it professionally.
