    My 1996 Dodge neon Will not start
    I have a 1996 dodge neon I was driving that stalled on me and then I cut off the key for a few minutes and then start it back upthe other day I let it sit for 2 days and went out and started it and it started and the I reve the engine up and got it t 3 to 4 rpm and it died and never started back up. I already changed the torque converter circuit electrical solenoid and I put brand new plugs and wires and new battery and fuel filter and fuel pump and still not starting I put a screwdriver to the spark plug wire from ad try to touch the coil and try to start it sparks 1 time tries to start and no spark after that please can someone tell me what the problem is and what I need to fix I need to get my car fixed so I can get back to work and pay my rent and bills and support my son if you know please feel free to email me at [email protected]

    Have a scan done to see if there are any codes stored in the computer. You could have a faulty crankshaft position sensor.

    . Test all under-hood and under-dash fuses with a test light or multimeter:

    . Check for codes by attaching a code reader to the Data Link Connector under the dash.

    . Replace the coil, since it sounds like the spark is very poor. Here's how to perform the standard spark test--remove a spark plug wire and attach it to a properly gapped spark plug, touch the plug to a convenient ground, and observe the spark, while someone cranks the engine. Look for a good, solid spark.

    . Check for fuel. Do you hear the fuel pump run, when the ignition switch is turned to ON?

    My experience with Chrysler products is that you only use the exact Champion spark plugs that came in the vehicle. I've seen Dodge trucks that wouldn't even start with other brands that shortly broke down.
