Can someone please tell me how to remove the kill switch control cable on a 3.5 hp B&S mower? Thank you. Young

Can you tell us why you need to do this? The kills wsitch is a safety feature and most of us avoid giving advice to circumvent a safety feature.

I'm not trying to circumvent the safety feature. The cable is bad and I need to replace it or transfer one from another machine.

    Hi.
The cover on those old styles are often held on by two screws with 1/4" heads (this is for ones that are on the opposite end from the plug.) Remove the screw that points up and loosen the other and the cover should slide up. There is a fitting (plastic) with two "ears" that flex outward and secure the fitting. A pair of pliers and a bit of firm wiggling should dislodge it. that reveals the cable and there is a slot for it to pass through, generally upward. Now you simply turn things so the cast "Z" bend comes out the actuator.
Reassembly is in the reverse order. A note that there are a "blue zillion" of them and you will probably have to find the original.
    Peace,
    Clarke
