My friend and I are both Christians and we decided it would be a nice idea to put build a Cross in the woods where we can play our music. We thought this would set a spiritual tone in a scenic spot. After getting it to stand (it stands about seven foot tall), we sat and talked at the base of it. I noticed a large amount of flies, but thought nothing of it because we were outdoors, after all. I went to the Cross today so I could write some songs and realized that the flies were all over me. It doesn't happen anywhere else in the woods except for where the Cross stands. I've heard that flies can represent paranormal activity or some sort of demonic presence. Could anyone tell me what might be going on and how to go about getting rid of any harmful spirits?

Well my thought whould be the smell of the wood on the cross could be triggering the flies and also at night put a bug zapper outside you know the shiny lights and turn off all the lights in the house so the insects will be attracted to it and bam are gone other than that it could be a paranormal activity, and the scented candles how about them

Yeah I think that too they are attracted to some smell and you need to put some scents around that repell them.
They like the smell of shampoo and some woods and foods.

Things they hate would be cider vinegar, honey, cedar chips and euclyptus oil
And many bugs hate the smell of vitamin B.
