Yes they do. Expect to be caught. Ask permission from your PO and you just might get it. Otherwise expect to get caught and detained and spend time in jail until your VOP hearing.

Going is a violation of your probation ( most likely) so is going back to jail worth it? You get permission, if it is for vacation most likely they will say yes

Wouldn't you want to know that if you were an airport cop? Are they going to know that you're on probation?? I don't know. How lucky do you feel?

Well, if you were a cop, and you LOVED busting people, wouldn't YOU like to have that stuff on your computer?? I think you would. Would it be difficult information to obtain?? Noooo, it isn't. Could I be wrong, and they're all playing donkey kong? Sure. I've been wrong before - once back in '92.

Exie, I think they are playing something other than Donkey Kong... more like Mafia or Scarface or maybe Grand Theft Auto. But in the real world I think they're playing "We're going to get another one tonight, I'm sure of it".

This has been done numerous times... by MANY of my friends... never any problems... depending on what type of probation you have, some do not check. If you are on formal, they would check... if your not even seeing you po or need to report, then they wouldn't.

What?? You think cops are nice guys?? You think they DON'T want to bust you?? When we passed the Patriot Act, we gave them MASSIVE power. I can't imagine them NOT using every tool at their disposal.

You should follow the regulations set forth by your parole officer regarding interstate travel. NCIC checks at the airport are typically only done when you are returning from an international flight. However, airport security may run random NCIC checks on domestic travelers.

Is whatever you are traveling to worth your freedom.. That is the only thing you must ask yourself. Operate under the assumption that you will be caught and jailed for doing so... if it is worth all that hassle, then by all means, travel away... if not, go through the proper channels for interstate travel or wait until you are off parole/probation.

If you get pulled over in another state and your name is run, the cops will know that you are on parole/probation... at which time they will ask for your travel permit... if one is not supplied, you sit in their jail until your home state feels like picking you up... that tends to be a while... especially if you are far from home... like up to 3 months...

I can assure you, if you somehow get popped for this, once you lay down on that thin mattress, in your small cell, with your new found friends, you will be more than pissed that you decided to go without the permission of your P/O.

Thanks for the response Excon. The reason I ask is that even if they run an NCIC check on someone who is on probation or parole, nothing should show up that would be cause for arrest or detention unless that person has violated or already has a warrant. Now I suppose if they ran your name and found you to be on probation or parole, they could ask to see your travel permit. Is this correct?

**** all them liars I am on parole sitting at the airport right now... on parole in pa and flying to Florida with warrants in Florida... N guess what I just drove to Florida last month "while on parole" n I got pulled over in north Carolina with no license n guess what... Not even put in jail
