My fan is currently running and I cannot stop it. The battery is new and I can see the red light blink when I press any switch. The remote control is not sending signals properly. I need to rest the buttons inside. It is changed accidentally.

Open the battery compartment to see if there are several small dip switches. If so, there will be the same set in the receviver in the canopy. Both sets must be set identically.
Check the dip switches as Harold suggests. You can also try a new matching combination.
Otherwise it is probably a bad receiver.
