Yes I have talked to various programs and they stated that they do not provide financial assistance to those seeking GED assistance.

Try talking to your local school office
Some offer free GED classes at night.
In our area it is free all you have to do is attend the classes at our local high school.It is a great program for our area since we have the highest unemployment in our state and have lost all of our manufacturing jobs and most in in our community did not have a GED until this program came in to place
