for the last 2 nights, my daughter will be sleeping in bed, and will randomly cry out, and cry for a few moments, and then stop. If I say her name, she stops crying and says 'what' as if Nothing is going on... this isn't a night terror she has had those before, and its not a nightmare cause I asked her and she said it wasn't.

she is 5 almost 6.

Maybe she felt alone in his room dats why she had that weird behavior

I suggest you to take her to a child psycologist. As you have already mention the age of the girl, I suspect its not usual behaviour. Kids at this age shouldn't act so weird, unless they are trying to make it up. Besides all these, just keep an eye on her on any unusual behaviour.

2 nights is an anomaly - maybe she doesn't remember her dreams. There have been many times I've woken up from a dream and not remembered it but remember it was bad.

If it continues, I would see a specialist. But I wouldn't worry about it unless it continued for several more consecutive nights.

There is no need for a therapist here. It was most likely a night terror! (a rather small one at that) when you woke her (never to do that in a night terror) she became disoriented and had no clue what you are asking. My son has had night terrors since was 2 1/2 in varying degrees. All you can do is be in the room to assure she does not hurt herself...

No, I've seen night terrors before, and she didn't wake up confused and disoriented, she woke up as if nothing had happened.
