Pennsylvania taxes on inheritance from another country
My Mother has received and inheritance from a cousin in England, I understand that she will not have to pay federal taxes on this money, but does she pay taxes to Pennsylvania.

    Thanks:)

Your mother lives in one of the few states that has an actual inheritance tax, meaning that as the heir to an inheritance she may be subject to tax on the value of her inheritance. The good news is that since your mother's cousin was not a resident of PA, the only tax that is owed would be on the value of any real property of the decedent's that was physically located in PA (real estate, cash, automobiles etc in state). There is no inheritance tax due on intangible assets that were not physically in PA at the time of death. Here's more info:

    Pennsylvania Department of Revenue
