    Wiring a timer
Help! I just purchased a new Pentair Whisper Flow pump and an Intermatic multipurpose control unit. I am a little confused as to how to correctly wire the pump to the control. In the wiring diagram for the control unit, it indicates a common line going directly to the pump motor. Is the common line the ground wire? I don't see a white neutral wire coming into the service for the control unit or pump. I am a little confused. Thanks for any help.

    Curt

OK Curt we will try to get you an electrician by moving your post. What are the colors of the wires coming from the house, got to make sure you got 240 to start with. Your supply must be in conduit, some places allow PVC and you must be on a dedicated GFCI breaker.

Is pump and control 120V or 240V. Can you post wiring diagram. No common is not ground.
