I have a 4 ton compressor and a 5 ton air handler and it keeps on freezing up , can they work to gether

They should be able to... simple things to check first. Change your filter. Check indoor coil to see if dirty.
Might want to call a local hvac company out to check system. Charge could be off.

There are other things that can contribute to this problem. Have either one of these components been replaced recently?
