Anna and the King/The king and I
I just watched the warner brothers cartoon version of 'The King and I'

And I remember watching "Anna and the King" a long time ago, and I was wondering, which one is a more accurate dipiction of what REALLY happened?

Or is this story even REAL? I THINK its real... isnt it?

Yes, Jennie, it is based upon a true story back in the 1860s. The movie version with people is pretty close to what really happened to the teacher and the King. Yul Brenner and Deborah Kerr were wonderful in the movie version with correct period costumes and period movie sets. I forget the book that the movie was based on.

The original version with Rex Harrison is actually closer to the book than any other.
