Hi, I'm not sure about 10Base.. Can you please help?

    a) What does 10Base-T, 100Base-T, and 1,000Base-T mean?

    b) How does 10Base-T differ from 10Base-F?

    Perito

10Base-T, 100Base-T and 1000Base-T are all Ethernet. The 10, 100, and 1000 indicate the speed of the linkage. Each of these has their own requirements. Generally, the maximum distance allowed is 100 meters using twisted-pair cabling.

10Base-F is a modified Ethernet standard using fiber optic. The length of a single run is 1.2 miles (nominally 2000 meters).

You can Google any of these things and get lots of information on them.

Let me google that for you
