I'm trying to remember an 80s movie where there was a crane or some sort of mechanical thing in water. I think it was a quarry but could be wrong. The mystery was that these kids were trying to figure out what it was in the water. I can't quarry much more about this movie. As a kid I felt the movie was leading me to believe it was a monster in the water but later on you find out it was mechanical.
