Changing dryer outlet into a subpanel
Can a dryer circuit be made a subpanel and if so how many 15 and 20 amp circuits could be fed off the panel? I don't know if the wire is #8 or #10. Thanks, gene

Wire for dryer can be used for a sub panel. Would have to know amps of dryer breaker.

A dryer typically uses a 30 amp breaker and #10 wire.

You need to be sure what size wire you have.

You can connect as many circuits as you like to a 30 amp subpanel, keeping in mind that the feeder will only handle 3600 watts per each of the two 120 volt legs maximum.
