Is this a brick veneer home, how thick is the space between the back side of the drywall and the back side of the brick.
The space is about 1'' for walls to breath. I can't fill this space. I was hopping that there was some sort of liquid that I could spary from the inside.
Thanks
So you must have cement block or double thickness of brick, this doesn't sound like veneer. Furring strips only no studs, right? You could hire a company to shoot a spray minimal expansion foam but you will have many 2" diameter holes to patch.
I do have studs, insulation between them and then sheet rock on the inside of course, behind the studs there is a water proof barrier then about a 1 inch or so space then the brick. I don't know what brick veiner is.
Thanks
Brick veneer is only one brick thick, primarily just so the exterior looks like a brick home. A non-veneer brick is two thicknesses or more or a cement block behind the face brick. It will be interesting as some of my friends read this post , maybe one of them can add some helpful info.
I have brick veneer thanks again for you advice
I'd call an insulation outfit or two and get bids to see what they suggest. This may or may not be a DIY project. You could better judge after hearing how a pro would do the job.
