I was arrested last night after I was invited to a girls house while her parents were sleeping and snuck in her window. About a minute after getting in her parents were banging on her door to open up. The cops came and arrested me for underage drinking and trespassing. I have to go to municipal court in a month. What are the maximum and minimum penalties I can get for this and is there a possibility of jailtime or probation. I am 18.

If you were invited in, you weren't trespassing. I don't think they'll put you in jail for drinking.

Will she back up that you were invited in. Were you actually drinking? What state are you in?

She is 16. What teenage girl would be honest and tell her father that just caught her in a room with a boy she invited him in? She said she told me to leave but they took our cellphones for evidence and they can read the text messages that say she invited me there. I have a pretty good lawyer that can talk down charges but I am still pretty worried because I have a lot going for me right now and don't need this I am an indiot.

I did drink earlier but I had no alcohol on me at the time of arrest and I was not breathalyzed they just assumed and charged me. That is pretty messed up to me. I am in New Jersey. Thanks a lot guys for answering
