My husband drinks mountain dew all the time! And we can't seem to get pregnant. Is it true that this could be because of the mountain dew?

Getting pregnant can be weird my wife and I had unprotected sex for 1 yr. when we first meet we wasn't trying to get pregnant just young dumb and in love then bang she got pregnant,well she was breastfeeding one ,couldn't take the pill and we were using contraceptive except we missed one night and bang pregnant. Again.so it happens you could say when god is willing or when your body is ready

I would get the doctor's opinion

If you read the labels on sodas they are all basically the same except for the flavoring that makes them different. So I would say it is a myth.
If anything in soda was going to make you have a hard time conceiving I would say it would be the diet sodas but I even doubt they would have that effect.

If you all have been trying for over a year, DO see your doctor and have your mate see his doctor. That will make sure there are no real fertility issues.

My brother heard this when he was about 18, and because he is onery, he decided to prove it wrong, and drank mt dew all day every day.. his wife and him now have 3 kids all under a span of 2 years ;)

Definitely see a doctor, at least they can check his sperm count and viability to determine if the issue is him or you and provide pointers to help you conceive in your particular case.
