Internet Dial Up Dialogue
I have a problem with a computer running windows 98. When it boots up it gets to the log on dialogue then prompts you to dial up to the internet. In order to get rid of it you have to click cancel as fast as you can about 20 or 30 times and this doesn't always get rid of it. I thought it was webshots that was causing the problem but I have since removed it and the dial up still comes up. If I log into windows without clicking cancel I still have to go through the same process to remove the dial up dialogue after logon. Thanks
Re: Internet Dial Up Dialogue
I'm not sure if this will help but no one else has offered suggestions so...
Open your browser (I'm assuming it's IE)
Go to Tools/Internet options/connections
Under Dialup & Virtual Network settings...
Click the button that says "never dial a connection"
Win98 may have a slightly different setup but try to find something like that.
I hope this is helpful to you.
