My boyfriend had a judgement on credit card debt, he went to court, nothing was settled, he got a suponea to go back and bring documentations of wages, assets and other. He never got to go before judge, the lawyer from credit card company called his name and went out to discuss. He told him he could put lien on house are truck, never asked for wage verification boyfriend never agreed to settlement with him, they told him he would not get to go before judge, is this just in state of tn. Or is it in all state.

He has the right to be heard, the attorney does not make that call. It sounds like thet attorney pulled and fast one, and if he did not stay to speak to the judge, it may be a default judgments has already granted.

Thank you for answering me so quickly. He did go back the clerk told him that the judge would see him but would only advise him to get an attorney. I live in ga and I have never seen when going before the judge not being able to pleed your side. All the clerk said is he might be suponed to come back next month if they do not take lien, should me try getting in touch with judge?
