Does anyone know what steps my (seperated) husband can take on his own to file suit for disavowal of paternity? Child is not his, have DNA results to prove it but can't afford a lawyer and legal aid is swamped right now, can't wait another month because then too much time may have passed. Is there any way he can file for the disavowal without an attorney?

I did but I didn't ask if how can my ex file for a disavowal without a lawyer though. That is the question here. Sorry if this is considered double posting ( didn't mean to :( )... but just wanted to know does he HAVE to have a lawyer and if not where do we go to do it on our own, I can't find jack crap online on how to "do it yourself".

He doesn't *need* a lawyer. Call the court clerk and ask how to go about it. Online research will only get you so far. At some point you need to talk to the people that will actually handle it.

I called clerk of court and they told me a disavowal may not be necessary if I take the DNA results (the ones state ordered for my ex bf) and the one for my husband and our "answer" from the d.a. with my "husband" sig on it and be specific in detail as that I want my husbands name off and my ex name put on and her last name to be mine, she told me they do this all the time but ONLY with the sufficient evidence to back it up.

The DNA results are in (from the state) for the ex, and show our child is his but I haven't rec'vd them in the mail yet but when I do that is when I will go file the n.chng judgment! Thanks stevecg for your suggestion again, I found out crucial things I need to do that if I hadn't I wouldve wasted a lot of my time and the judges. God Bless.

First, I just browsed your threads. I couldn't find where anyone crticized you for opening multiple threads. However, I did find a post by you yesterday at 6:07PM alluding to not wanting to open another thread. However this thread was opened at 11:30, over 4 hours later.

Second, If someone piggybacks their question on someone else thread is it most certainly dealt with. Piggybacks are moved when reported or encountered. Question threads that are hijacked are often split or closed. So your comments are not accurate.

Finally, I've removed the snide remarks and insults from your post.
