What is the correct terminology I can sue for if my ex posted an ad on craigs list in the personal section of my wife and I (two different ads). Both separate ads where false and gave our personal cell phone numbers. The ads both requested the need for sexual pleasure and resulted in my ex being arrested for admitting to this act and the trail is still pending. The calls and text we received where troublesome and disturbing and also ran up our cell phone bills.

Defamation of character.
If it caused you financial damage then you have a really good case. Otherwise you might only get damages covered such as the phone expenses.
If you had to go get mental health care then you might be able to get something for pain and suffering.

It sounds like you have a case for libel. Be sue to document all damages (elevated cell phone bills, legal expenses, etc.) Obviously, also print out hard copies of these Craig's list ads.

You would need an Attorney to pursue the case - the Attorney would advise whether it is worth your time/effort to sue your "ex." If she has nothing, you can be awarded nothing. The Attorney can also evaluate and determine what your losses/damages are.

Contact an Attorney, take any printouts with you, see what he/she has to say on the subject.

As a PS - I thought (following the deaths of 2 women who advertised on Craigslist) that they no longer accepted ads of this nature.
