Did anyone notice that "hook up" by katy perry and "i do not hook up" by kelly clarkson ARE THE Same SONG? What's that about?

Bands/singers do covers of other peoples songs all the time, it's a cheap way to get the public to buy your music

Then why didn't katy perry get any recognition for it since she sung it 1st?

I guess nobody liked it when katie perry did it, that or because of publicity, or actually there's a few other reasons as well

Yea it does seem that way doesn't it, but if she was then shed be up for being sued, personally I think its cheating, write your own songs dammit, especially if the artist who first sang it is still in the biz

You I agree and she also sings it the same way as katy perry. She could have at least put her own personality into it.
