    Shower backing up
I noticed my shower draining slowly. Shortly after I noticed my toilet clogged. I tried plunging it and got water to drain. However, now when I flush it, it doesn't really empty and water comes back up through the shower, including toilet paper and such. I tried drano in the shower to no avail. What can I do?

Your clog is down stream after the two fixture's drains come together. Plunging will do little since the vent stack will absorb all of your pressure. Neither fixture is easy to rod due to the trap under the shower and the integral trap in the toilet. Are there any clean outs below this level, can you get to the drain pipes from the floor below? Worst case scenario, pull the toilet and rod from there.

This might be a little easier then pulling the toilet. Snake out the drain from the lavatory roof vent. Put out enough cable to reach the base of the vent and 20 feet more. Good luck, Tom
