    Weedeater featherlite plus carb repair
I have a weedeater feather lite plus and I am having trouble keeping it running it would only at half throttle and no more so I replaced the fuel lines, they were rotted. It worked for just about 2 weeks then the same thing happened, so I'm thinking of taking the carb out cleaning or repairing it I found a diagram and have an idea of where it is. My question is has anyone done this before is there anything that I should watch out for or any advice on this repair that anyone could advise me on thanks a lot

I'm having the same problem but my dad has a couple of chainsaws which are 2 stroke just on a little bigger scale, and I'm going to be taking the carb apart tomorrow, and he said that before doing it find a diagram on the internet(which you have all ready done) and tweak around with the idling screws first before taking it apart, and if that doesn't work there might be a pin inside the carb that is sticking and you just have to clean it, then he asked me if the gas was emptied before winter or if it was ran dry and I said there was a little bit left before it was put away and he said you might have to either clean or replace the diaphragms, and it could possibly be the fuel mixture (but you can only screw that up if you can burn water 40:1), so if I take my carb apart before you do I will tell you if there is anything to really watch out for.

Yea I just did this last night I figured what the heck there cheap if I screw it up I'll find a new one, but before I did it yea I tweaked the idiling screws and changed fuel lines and all and that's when it worked for about a week then stopped. So when I had it apart I took it all the way down to the piston jug cleaned and made sure all the gaskets were clean and not bad, they weren't and I made sure all was clean on the inside. It was simple to tk apart and put together so it shouldn't be a prob for u. nothing seemed to be stuck or any bad seals so I put it back together and hoped for the best and it fired right up haven't used it yet on a yard yet but well see in a couple of weeks and it was quite simple to do just remember how it goes back together because I almost got screwed I couldn't remember how the bleeder bulb went on the carb
