I am wondering what constutes a bad mother? We were never married... She recently got busted selling to a undercover officer. 2 felonys 1 will go away after so long I can not recall the # of the law used on that. Child was in car when the deal went down. Judge gave her tether 6 months, child classes 2 weeks and lots of fines. I don't want to down play the judge but OMG a baby was involved. We have the 1 son now 2 and she has a 5 year old daughter of another. I can not afford any attorneys in my area, all starting at a point I can't afford BUT what can I do to know that children are safe?

Talk to attorneys about setting up your case on a payment arrangement.

If you are scared for your children, you can find a way to file a petition for custody of the child, even if it includes taking on a second job.

How recent was the arrest? Where were the children taken during the arrest? Is DCFS/Children Services involved yet?

Arrest was aprox: 6 months ago and DCFS has never been involved... go figure
