    Want to know about creatine
    Dear sir/mam,
I have been working out for about 2.5 years now. Till a few days ago, I have never taken any protein supplements or anything else. Now I have started taking whey protein & creatine consulting my instructor in the gym. I want to know whether this creatine or whey protein has any long term side effect of any sort. I will be waiting for your reply.

    Regards
    Rahul Nair

Creatine is not a steroid or some sort of semi-illegal substance, it's produced by your body, but many athletes can benefit by taking some extra. It may help you increase endurance and strength slightly, but it won't work miracles. It may cause some water retention, but this should not be significant until you have a competition coming up.

There is a huge amount of research on creatine, its benefits, safety and how best to use it. These is even some research to show it can improve bone density and recovery after injury.
