    New entry doors
I just got a new entry doors and they are white & shiny, but I assume they're just primed.. should I paint them?

I already got water based paint, glossy white, but the doors look shiny now. Frame should be painted but I'm not sure about the doors..

If I paint them do I need to sand them first?

    Thanks

Have not seen a shiny primer finish. It would restrict holding ability of your finish coat.

If u want to change color, wet sand with 400 grit paper to remove sheen and paint with good exterior primer before finish paint.

Who ever ordered the doors should know.

Check with supplier before you do anything at all. Don't get blindsided here. Check with supplier on what paint to use. And the supplier isn't necessarily the Big box store employee.

A side note here Is TINT your primer the color you want to paint the door. Saves on coats. Tinting is cheap and usually free.
