I have a guy friend that has a lot of friends with benefits. We are compatible on so many levels but I have never given 'benefits'. He is profuse with compliments and tells me I am like no other woman he has ever known. We have known each other over a year. The other day he wanted to find out if I was ready to get married and said he wants to if he had the opportunity to get married and he reiterated it several times and I said he was still playing the field and I am sure the right man will show me he is serious but so far not now. I so love him but I know myself and I will not tolerate his bs like his easy prey. I want him to ask me on more dates and him try to show me he wants me to see him seriously that way. He always speaks of me highly and his cousin calls me cousin in law. HELP! Am I the moron I think I am?

Who knows, perhaps he is saying what you want to hear to get those "benifits"

He doesn't bother me with that but I must say he does not put in the time and energy that makes me see him as a contender. He has been getting serious about his business and finances. I take care of myself very well but I do like that he is positioning himself for provision if he ever gets the rest of it together

He may be or may not be who knows.

My question is why would you want to involve yourself with a known player anyway , sounds like a drama before it's even started.

There's plenty of good guys out there.

Stop giving him benefits, and see if he gets serious. I suspect this is all part of his game to keep his benefits.
