I have an acer aspire 8930g laptop. Its been working OK until now. I logged off earlier and when I switched it back on and it went onto the password page I found that the keyboard seems to have locked and only the vowels are working. As a result I am unable to log onto the laptop. Help!

Did you check to see if num lock is on?

We've checked it on and off, sad to say it's not making a difference. My partner thought it may have been some keys bashed by one of the kids or stepped on by a cat whilst we've been out of the room, and now it's been shut down, we can't get back in to rectify it. Find it strange that we can only type vowels and nothing else. Only had the laptop for 2 weeks too!

Look near the mouse there is normally a key lock button near there
