Is the sex and relationship information in Cosmopolitan Magazine trustable?
Does anybody here read cosmo magazine? It has a lot of advice about sex and relationships.. But do you think it's actually true ? (If you read this magazine) Do you think some of the stories are a bit fake?

I haven't read Cosmo for quite a few years.

The advice they give is usually pretty good but they do tend to give very specific answers and tips which do not work for everyone.

I have tried some of them out but I prefer to work things out on my own as to what I like.

I think that anyone that believes 100% something in a magazine is in for disappointment (unless it's a medical journal).

If you base your relationships on honesty, trust, and communication, you're going to be doing a LOT better than following relationship advice in a magazine.

Yes. Ask any man to read a Cosmo and they will roll their eyes at most of the "advice" given.

I agree, a lot of it is good advise, but you can't take it ALL in good faith. A lot of the articles can be exaggerated or just plain made up.

It's an entertainment book. You buy it when you're in line buying your groeceries, you don't buy it when your boyfriend cheats on you and you need advice. I haven't ever and never will trust advice from magazines. A set up for failure. Your instincts, judgment, personal morals and communication are what come into play here, and that's what you need to rely on in relationships.

Well, the problem is there is no "one trick or lick" that fits all...

What one lover absolutely LOVED, the next HATED... and I mean she hated it enough damn near throw me off the bed...

    So...

It is entertainment. There is some basis for some of the ideas... but really... they make it seem like every month there are a dozen New Ways To Make Your Guy Go Wild...

Best way to get your lover off is to get into their head before their pants... and everybody, and every body, is different...

Any poll is only as accurate as the sample population used. Which in that case will be readers of that magazine. Assuming no slanted or leading questions. I look at any polls with a generous dose of salt. As in I trust none of them completely.

Exactly, that would be like doing a poll of women and asking "How many own a vibrator?"

If they took the survey in a very busy city odds are yes there would be a lot, if they surveyed more rural communities then the answers may be different.

It's like beauty products, may of them are only tested and surveyed on half a dozen women.

I read cosmo religiously but truthfully it's not for advice just for some entertainment... If I wanted advice on sex positions or something in that matter I would rather be hands on than reading a magazing

Almost as entertaining as the TV show 'Just Shoot Me'
Any advice stuff by so called 'experts' you have to read the suggestions and then take what applies to you.
