22yrs, not pregnant, taking the depo shot and getting hot flashes?
    Hi everyone,

I am 22 years old, I just got back on the depo shot, my last period was June 1st, and I did skip this months period (I assume it's because of the shot). Last night I got 3 hot flashes, the most I've ever had, the first time I ever had a hot flash was when I was preggos with my son (my 2nd child), so I took a pregnancy test this morning and it was negative. Could there be a reason this would happen or is this normal? I appreciate anyone's help. Thank you.

Hot flashes are a common side effect of the depo shot. Make sure your doctor knows you are experiancing it, as he needs to know everything going on with your body.

While on depo, whenever I experienced hot flashes, I found that taking a cool shower helped the most. Eating a popcicle helped as well.
