    Frayed carpet edge
Our cat has gradually managed to fray the edge of our carpet over time in a spot she obviously likes. Can anything be done to fix or disguise the frayed edge of the carpet?

Is this an area rug or wall to wall?

If in a doorway, can be covered with binder bar molding. It comes in widths from 1'' to3''.

If u have a piece of carpet left over from installation, u can make a patch that can be almost invisible with patience.

Use a razor knife to cut out square to be replaced.

Cut patch from extra carpet to fit in square. Dry fit patch to see if it looks OK.

Get a piece of denim from old dungarees 2'' larger then patch.

Put denim under carpet in opening and hot glue it in.

Put S patten of hot glue on exposed denim and install patch. Put a couple of books on patch for weight. Leave for about 10 minutes.

Brush seams with comb to blend in.

Get spray at pet store to keep cat away from this area.
