    Sexual stimulation
I have always had a healthy sex life with my husband and he has always been pretty successful with making me climax via clitoris stimulation using his fingers or tongue. The problem that I have right now is that literally over night my clitoris is not being sensistive. He stimulated me per the usual way on Wednesday--but we did not have sex. When we had sex on Friday my clitoris was completely unresponsive, almost numb. This has never happened before. Typically I am very sensitive.

Other pertinent information: we have been married 22 years, together 23. I am 42 not on any hormones (I had Essure implants a year or so ago, so I cannot get pregnant). I am slightly over weight, but am on a diet with regular daily exercise of 60 minutes. No medical problems. I may be pre-menopausal, but do not have any vaginal dryness, that part of the 'stimulation' process is normal.

It is the quick, over night change that has made me concerned. Could it just be that it has been too much and I just may need a break? We normally have sex approximately 2 - 3 times a week, with at least a day break in between.

Changes are normal, inevitable. The possibility of numbness due to position or overstimulation is real. Monday morning check and call the Doctor with the symptoms.

Yes take a break, and if that doesn't work see your doctor.

I agree that sometimes our bodies just change. You do need to see a doctor and make sure everything is okay.
Just so you know, I DO understand 100%. I am 42 years old myself and 6 weeks ago had some physical changes. I am in the middle of "menopause". Lovely, isn't it? haha

Look if it's just a one off, I wouldn't worry too much. Women's bodies change a lot, and over the next 10 years you'll notice many differences in response.

It could be peri-menopause, but then again it might not. It could also be that your body is sick of doing the same things - then again it might not.

Try something different or try having sex in a different way. Try not having an orgasm and just enjoying the sex.

It may be as simple as being in a sexual rut.

Yes, I agree. Ask a doctor because it could have something to do with menopause.

BTW I think it's great that you two are still together after that many years :) I envy that.
