    Portable dishwasher hook up
Can a portable dishwaser be connected to the washer connections in the laundry room? My laundry room is a closet area of the kitchen and I have the stackable washer dryer unit. Since I only use cold water to wash my clothes, I was wondering if I could hook up the portable dishwasher to the hot water line? As long as I am not using the washer and the dishwasher at the same time, it shouldn't be a problem for the drain pipe. The portable dishwasher is stored in this laundry room and it would just be so much easier if I didn't have to keep moving it but just use it where it is. THanks!

Sure it can be used as you described. You just have to use proper connection to connect DW with washer hot water .

As far as drain goes, you can insert hose into washer's stand pipe and secure it so it won's slip out during discharge.

I am not an electrician: but DW draws about 13AMPs do does washer. You probably want to make sure you don't run both units at the same time. Otherwise, breaker may trip.
