You should not have Ohio State Income Tax withheld from your check. Contact the HR folks on Monday and tell them that you live and work in Florida. Last time I looked, Florida had no Individual State Income Tax to take out of payroll checks. They need to correct their mistake now or you will have a hard time trying to get that tax money back.

That's a good question! It almost seems that if one state takes out income tax, another state cannot. However, if Florida does not have a state income tax, well then..?

Check with the Florida Attorney of State's Office to get your answer.

    Good luck!
