Do I have a case for slander suit in Pa
I was employed for a very large company. I had been their for 19 months and had an excellent employment record, very dependable, always volunteered to work over time and performed above and beyond what was expected. I had a coworker who had FMLA due to rheumatoid Arthritis. She is a slacker and always called in and only did enough to get by on. Handling maybe 5 patients to my 20 in an hour and a half. My coworkers and I registered complaints about her job performance over a nine month period. She complained to my supervisor that she was getting harassing phone calls, she blamed me. (I was at work with her when these calls came in. The company investigated and her claims were unfounded. However they still terminated me based on my demeanor during the investigation. They did not fight unemployments findings and I am collecting. Since I was fired she is now telling people that I was caught defacing her car and that she has a PFA against me both of which are not true. Is there a slander case here since I have witnesses to cooberate and since I have loss of income. This is a very small town an the other than this company their aren't many places to go for my type of work to get another job.
