I have never heard of mild pcos. You either have it or you don't. A good doctor would have put you on clomid!

While it is possible to become pregnant, women with PCOS tend to suffer a much higher rate of miscarriages. Fertility problems experienced by women with PCOS may be related to the elevated hormone, insulin, or glucose levels, all of which can interfere with implantation as well as development of the embryo. Additionally, abnormal insulin levels may also contribute to poor egg quality, making conception more difficult.

Stabilizing hormone levels can help fertility by promoting ovulation. Some doctors may prescribe ovulation medications, such as Clomid as the other poster commented, to encourage ovulation. If you are thinking of conceiving, be sure to discuss the issue with your doctor. Not all of the medications used to help PCOS sufferers are safe to use during pregnancy and may need to be discontinued.

Although getting pregnant can be problematic for women with PCOS, many have found it easier to get pregnant the second time around. Additionally, some women have found that their menstrual cycles regulate themselves after a pregnancy. Following a healthy diet and exercising regularly will also help to promote fertility.

Maybe as you are worried and sressed this may be a factor in your period being late ?

Can I also ask why on earth do you have to fast to have a pregnancy test ?

Have you tried a home pregnancy test?

We can't tell you for sure if you're pregnant. It's possible, or it could be something else completely.

Please don't use chat speak when posting, it's against the rules of the site.

    Thanks.

You probably have some symptoms of pcos. But I don't think it is ethical to treat you as if you had PCOS with out clear and concise proof. IE cysts. Normal treatment for pcos is METFORMIN a very serious drug that helps to metabolize glucose. This is the med most non insulin dependent diabetics are on. I would get a second opinion preferable with an endocrinologist.

It has been known in my family that even though youv had a blood or urine test at the doctors and it came back negertive there's still a chance of pregnancy

Although would the fasting make a difference to the results?

    What's a endocrinologist?

About the polycystic overies or the pregnancy test result ?
