When I turn the computer on, I get a black screen with "I/O device error" and then it reads "insert disk and hit any key to continue". What the heck is this talking about?? Please help!:confused:

The computer is unable to access your boot disk. It therefore assumes that it's looking for a floppy disk or a DVD. It's asking you to put in a disk so it can find the operating system.

Basically, it appears that something is wrong with your hard drive.

Sounds like your hard disc has gone.
Time to get a new one installed.

Purchase a new hard drive of the same type you have, install it in the computer and reinstall the operating system and all software. As stated, your current hard drive is... how do I put this?. toast!
