Hi there I am new to this site I saw it thought id check it out and get opinions from others. Its nice to hear what other people think/know. My husband and I stopped using birth control its been almost 4 months since I've been off it. We've decided its time to start a family if we can that is. I have been taking a multi vitimin, folic acid and trying to eat the best I can. I have had 3 normal periods since being off the birth control . And I've noticed it seems to be quite regular each time its been 32 days. I was just wondering when is the right time to have intercoruse to try to conceive? My guess is aroudn and anywhere between 16-20th of this month. Is that right? Anyone have advice please let me know. I know there's ovulation prediction kits, but I'm not sure when I should test to check for the lh surge.. please help! Thanks

The first day of ovulation is the first day of your period.the days best to try are 10, 11, 13, 15,17. You do ovalation tests near 10,12,14,16th day.hope this helps. Wish u all the luck in the world

There are only 3 or 4 days in each month that the women is fertile. Also checking your temperature is another way. When your temperature is slightly higher that means that you are ready to ovulate. As well as you do not necessarily make love during those fertile days but actually having intercourse a day or two before your ovulation would work. As long as the sperm is in the environment they will stay alive for up to 3 days the most in the perfect environment. As well positions are very important. The thing that I realize to be very true. The stress, the more stress the more things you try to do to get pregnant might actually prevent you from getting pregnant. What worked for myself is both partners having an orgasm at the same time, it is said to help push the sperm further where it is supposed to go. Also position, after elevating your legs and not getting right out of bed as soon as making love is over. Stay in bed for at least 20 minutes. Then get up and go for a shower. Do not worry if some sperm leaks this is normal. Not all of it leaks.

Ok thank you for your advice=) does getting out of bed maybe 5mins after having sex make it any less of a chance of conceiving? Cause I know myself I don't always just lay there for 20 minutes, but maybe I should try. I know I have a 32 day cycle I was just wondering the days that I should maybe ovulate. I did have my period on the 2nd of October until the 7th. I should be ovulating this week sometmie if its right.im not stressed id like to conceive but its going to be fun trying and practicing. I checked online ovulation predicters that I entered the first day of my last period and how long my cycle was. Its telling me that I'm fertile the 17-20 and the 20 is ovulation could that be correct?

The best way to calculate you ovulation cycle, using only the calendar (there are many other methods) is to count 11 - 13 days after the first day of your period. So, if you started your period on the 2nd you should ovulate probably around the 13th - 15th of the month.

Do not have sex every night, as this lowers the sperm count. Every other night is better. The sperm is known to last inside you for around 3 - 4 days.

From what I read I thought you don't ovulate till 14 days before you next period. How would you ovulate so soon afte ryou just had your period? This is just new to me. I've been doing a lot of reading. I figured id be ovulateing soemtime this week because my cycle is 32 days even though I might not ovulate at the exact time. The only time we had sex was the 15th and I have no idea if I ovulated this was a decision that was just made that's why when I did the calculation I figured this week would be key to practice hehe

That was quoted from what I read. I know nothing is exact to reading, but wouldn't that typiclaly be around the time id ovulate? I'm 32 days.

Every place I've read including some thinsg from doctors state you ovulate 14 days before your next period. My next period is due either nov 2 or 3rd the latest.. I know we can only estimate3 but your estimate seems early
