Does hair grow back to it's normal condition after a serious head trauma?
Does hair grow back to it's normal condition after a serious head trauma (fracture with staples)? My head wasn't shaved to close the wound, but 2/3's of my hair has fallen out. If it does grow back, will it be the same and how long will it take?

Almost always it will grow back normally. Hair grows at a rate of about 6 inches (15 centimeters) per year. If there is a significant scar, it's likely that the hair follicles will be damaged in that area.

I had a friend who was in a serious car crash and had staples in her hair line after her skin was peeled from her skull. Her hair grew back frail and brittle at first but perhaps that was from malnutrion and the stress of the crash I'm not to sure. However 6 months after the crash she is now as bright as rain and her hair is as healthy as it ever was. Im sure you have nothing to be worried about. If you are still uncertain you could always go to your local health shop and perhaps buy some natural hair, skin and tablets that they have on the market these days
