    I've got a dryer that doesn't stop running when the timer goes off

    If you let the timer run would it just keep going round and round? Either the PUSH TO START switch is stuck closed or contacts in the timer are stuck closed. Some dryers have a WRINKLE PREVENT setting which would make it run for a couple of hours after the time ran out and then shut off.
