A made for TV movie from the 70's or 80's
I am looking for a made for TV movie from the 70's or 80's. It was about a group of aliens who crash landed on earth and lived in a rural community. They hid their abilities. The children shuffled their feet to keep them from flying. A school teacher came to their community and discovered the truth. They referred to themselves as the people. I'd like to know the name of the movie and the author of the original idea. I believe it was based on a book or short story.
