    Troybilt riding lawnmower
    Hello,
I connected the wrong side of the battery when jump start. Lawn Mower does not start. I got a new battery and it's the same.
Reading few articles suggest that the fuse might be the cause.
    Please help

Hi! jacssur, and Welcome to AMHD :)

Good place to start, check it with an Ohm meter. My Toro has the newer type, not the older metal end, glass barrel.
Hopefully it did its job, also check continuity of battery cables, next check is starter switch.

This Troy site only gives the basics. When you get there, left side at bottom of menu DIY an Owners manuals:

    DO-IT-YOURSELF AND HOW-TO INFORMATIONAL ARTICLES

I'll check back in a few... Have my own lawn to do... ;)

    Hello,
    Thanks.
I am not at the machine now, but I remember the ohm meter reading was on Zero. Where is the starter switch located?

    Your Welcome!
That should be it then, a reading of 0 shows no resistance = blown fuse.

If it still won't crank, go to reading on battery cables, then starter switch.

starter switch (10-20 that's police talk for location), is directly behind the dash where you put the key in.

Mine is located left rear of flywheel cover on engine.

For you, its best to check here:
    PDF Manual Web Archive

Enter your model and serial numbers click search, look under electrical.

Hi! Donna Nelson, and welcome to AMHD :)

First thought would be a bad switch, can you swap that one out with a known good one?

    Hello,
After using my Lawn Tractor for 10 minutes it stopped and after a while I noticed that the gasoline is leaking by the engine. I wasn't able to stop the flow... finally the tank got empty. I did not had much fuel in it... so I let it go.
    What could be the problem?

    Hi,
Trash in the carb stuck between the inlet needle and seat.
    Peace,

    How do I fix it?

    Hi,
Well, you have not stated any engine info, but basically you must get inside the carb, remove the float (since the inlet needle is normally closed by the float) and clean the needle and the seat that it fits into.
    Peace,
    Clarke
