Dryer won't spin just hums

Sounds like a belt gone. If you have lots of clothes in... try removing some. If its empty and still doing that... it's a belt... or the motors gone... one or the other. Cheers!

Does the motor and blower come on but not the drum? Need a belt. Or does nothing come on just a buzzing sound from the motor? You need to list the model and make if you want more specific help. Either it is a motor problem or you have something caught in your blower(whirlpool made) or your blower is loose and come forward and is jamming on the front of the housing(GE made). If it is a whirlpool made dryer access is from the back. A GE made dryer is accessed by taking the top off and then remove the front. Loosen of the bolt a little and push the blower back on.
