My back up lights didn't work. Electrical is fine to lights. Replaced back up light switch now lights won't go out unless car is off. 1993 Honda Civic DX 1.5lt, 16 valve 4 door.

If your back up lights won't turn off until the car is shut down, it sounds like you have a faulty ground. Try finding the ground point for your back up lights. Remove it... clean it... and putter back together. Should clean up the problem. Better clean the light and socket while you're at it.

Hi climate. The ground was fine so I backed the switch out about a half turn and everything is working great. Thanks for your help.
