    Cucumber vs. squash identification
    Howdy!

So I bought what I thought were 2 Burpless Bush Hybrid cucumber plants yesterday.
Obviously, they're still babies and haven't sprouted anything but a few leaves yet.
When I went to plant them I noticed I accidentally bought, what the pot tag said is, 1 cucumber 1 Crookneck squash plant.

The leaves look exactly the same, so I don't know if one was mislabeled or if I really need to go back to Home Depot and return the squash plant.

I'd keep it, but I only have a potted garden with limited space, and this cucumber is potted garden friendly.
I don't know that I would be able to facilitate the squash plant.

Are these leaves really that identical? Or do I trust the tag?
    Thanks so much!
    Sue

    Perito

I've never been able to tell them apart when they're only a few days to a couple of weeks old.

When the seed leaves come out (the first 2 leaves), the squash leaves will be a little wider and thicker than the cucumber leaves.

The squash plant is on the right in the pictures I posted. Good luck.
